Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
